Where I'm from.

Madinah, 1996. The city shaped how I see light, space, and slowness before I had words for any of it.

About
Biography

Abdul Rahman Taha (b. 1996, Madinah, Saudi Arabia) is a contemporary artist based in Riyadh. Trained in Architecture and Urban Planning, Taha works across installation, sculpture, and photography. He reads cities as living archives: layers of time, use, and erasure that reveal how environments shape identity, memory, and collective experience. Folk games appear throughout his work as vessels of that transmission, objects that carry spatial knowledge and social codes across generations. Rooted in urban anthropology, his practice traces how culture embeds itself in built form and the rituals people inherit without noticing. Space and duration are not backgrounds in Taha's work. They are the material. His installations create conditions rather than images: the viewer moves through them and, in doing so, produces the work.
