Intermix Residency is an art residency program that provides a space for experimentation, research, and exchange among artists and curators within a creative environment that encourages dialogue, collaboration, and artistic development. Located in JAX District in Diriyah, the residency supports practices that evolve through interaction with peers, mentors, and the wider cultural scene of Riyadh.

In celebration of Saudi National Day 95, this exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists whose works reflect the Kingdom’s heritage, identity, and creative vision for the future. Each artwork embodies values deeply rooted in Saudi culture—land, community, resilience, and ambition—while offering fresh perspectives through contemporary expression. As part of this celebration, the exhibition will also include a special showcase of Claymoon by Adam Weismann, presented for the first time at Naila Gallery. This installation complements the wider collection by exploring materiality, place, and the shared human connection to land, resonating with the spirit of safeguarding heritage and envisioning tomorrow.

Light Years Apart, the theme of Noor Riyadh 2024, explores the profound relationship between Althara (the earth) and Althuraya (the sky) and how we journey between the two, moving from our present circumstances to our highest aspirations. Drawing from the symbolism of the Thuraya star cluster, a beacon of guidance and inspiration, the theme reflects the power of creativity and ambition in bridging vast distances, both literal and metaphorical.
